Liz asked:

We have 4 cats and we have had a diarrhea occurance 6 times starting 9 mos. ago. We didn’t know which cat it was until this week. Diagnosed by stool exam with Giardia. Could this have been Giardia all this time? Why wouldn’t the cat/cats get sicker? How do they get Giardia when there are no streams anywhere near us?

steel7 asked:

I have never raised a puppy with cats before and need some advice. My cats just turned 1 year old and the puppy is about 14 weeks old. I had cats but it was a long time ago. We adopted these cats after our dog ( best friend ) of 10 years passed away. The puppy is eating the cat food and the cats are eating the puppy food HELP! The puppy is a rotty mix.

How do I get my cat to eat wet cat food instead of dry cat food?

ELLE asked:

I have heard that dry cat food is bad for your cats health. My cat loves dry cat food and only eats a small amount of the wet cat food. I used to give her dry food in the mornings but now I have started to give her wet cat food as that would be the time when she is the most hungry. This morning she woke me up meowing becuase she was hungry and I fed her one of those small tins of cat food and she only ate half. An hour later she still didn’t finish it. I gave her a small pile of dry cat food and she ran straight over and ate it. I don’t think it is enough food for her to be eating only one small tin of cat food a day (half in the morning, half at night). She is already small and although her weight is okay, she really doesn’t need to be any thinner.

yahoo user asked:

My daughter came into my room this morning and said our 2 year old cat had eaten the top of her sharpened pencil. Is he going to be okay, or should my husband take him to the vet. He seems okay right now, (he’s sitting next to me on the bed and purring), but I just want to be sure???

What can I do about my dog eating the cat food?

Brian asked:

I have a dog and 3 cats. The cats and the dog eat in the kitchen and they don’t have a set eating time, we usually just put their dishes out and fill them up whenever they are near empty. This is the problem, the dog has a dish and the cats share one but when the cat food is on the ground the dogs starts to eat it. We were forced to move the cat’s food to the table in the kitchen which isn’t necessarily the most sanitary thing. What can I do to keep the dog from eating the cat food?

How to get rid of cat urine odor outdoors?

Sandtone asked:

We don’t own any cats (or any other animals) so I don’t know why the local cats have started using a small patch of lawn right under my living room window as a bathroom. It smells terrible, I have tried the cat repellents sold in stores but it hasn’t helped to keep them away. Now that the summer heat has arived the smell is really awful. Anyone got any ideas on how to get rid of the odor and to permanently discourage the cats?
I have one rose bush and a jasmine vine, other than that it’s just grass.
