Does anyone know how I can rid of cat allergies? A friend of mine recently moved in and it turns out he is allergic to my kitten. Would a air purifier help out a bit? Any advice or tips?

I’m a vegetarian going vegan with an awful cat allergy and I heard somewhere that becoming vegan gets rid of cat allergies. Is this true and if so how do you know?
