My daughter’s calico cat does that. It is so funny so see her sitting like that on the couch.

its cuz theyr cleanning ther **** on the carpet my dogs do that too :] abnormal to me.not them :] heheheh

I don’t know about cats, but I have a Bullmastiff dog that does that too … he’s an adorable sweetheart too.
it looks so funny when animals do that …

I have no clue as to if this is a trait of any one type.
Mine do the same.. and it blew me away the first time I saw it. Never thought cats did that, but I was wrong.
It is hilarious.

not all cats do it, but many do. i have a black cat, and he does it sometimes… its so weird and funny, but its cute.

We have 5 cats and only one sits like that, but we used to have an old tom cat who did. One of our little dogs does too. I think it is all about personal preference of the animal.

Nope just being comfy. My Persian used to sit around like a common hooker. Very unlady-like positions. What do ya do, it’s not like there going to listen. It’s there house, you just pay the mortgage.

That’s cute. My long haired Chocolate Siamese likes to lay down all chicken leg (he lays on the back of the couch and with all four legs dangling) on the back of the sofa and lays his chin down on the back of the sofa too. He looks a silly monkey. I think each breed has their own little quirks.

I have 3 cats, no special breed, and all of them do it from time to time. It is so hilarious! Makes ‘em look almost human.

i had two persians and they did the same thing.. it was adorable..
my cat now is a calico.. and my oh my does she have some quirks lol.. she also sits like that at times.. but she does a lot of adorably odd things..

Persians are pretty special – I have two – both rescues. They’re definitely more laidback than other cats – laying about their backs or like you described. Mine never cease to make me giggle on a daily basis – they’re wonderful kitties!
