Major tips? First, you should pick put a litter box.You also might want to get some cat toys,Food bowls, and mabe a few books on cats, ect.
Kittens LOVE to explore, and can get themselfs hurt.Open fires and sharp things are the worse. You also NEED to give the kitten attention and love.( holding, peting, snuugleing, kissing, the works.)
Hope that helped!

Siamese can be a little tesy, we have one, he is 14, and he absolutely hated us when we were kids, he would growl whenever we went near him. But now that we are older he is the most lovey cat we have, we can’t keep him off of our laps!! I have only met a few other siamese from all adult households, so maybe they just don’t have alot of patience for kids. They are kind of a one person cat. My mom’s (the 14 yo one) is such a mommy **** it is ridiculous. I have one that came from a siamese mom, but she is grey and white and she is always on me, I sit down for 2 seconds and she is on my lap. They are really nice cats :D

It sounds like this kitten will have a good home with you. Here are a few basic tips to get you started:
1. Don’t be in a rush to take your kitten home!!! Time with mom is VERY important for a kitten. Give it at least 8 weeks with mom. 10 or even 12 weeks would be better. It’s not just about nursing. Even after kittens start on dry food mom is still teaching them lessons, including things like not to bite!
2. Kittens are curious and tend to get into EVERYTHING! Kitten proof your home. Remember: If it can be climbed, it will be. If it can be moved with a paw, it will be. If it can be opened, it will be. Get the idea?
3. Kittens are brainless. Their bodies grow before their brains. It’s OK. They make up for it with cuteness when they are young and love when they grow older.
4. DO get the kitten spayed or neutered somewhere between 4 and 6 months. Some vets do it even younger now. That’s up to you but PLEASE have it done! It will make him/her a better, happier and healthier pet!
5. One cat, two cats! There really is a lot to be said for having two. They keep each other company, play together, etc. If you don’t like the idea of two kittens you could adopt an older cat. Talk to your local shelter if that idea interests you. They can place you with one who is likely to be accepting of a kitten, etc.
6. Declawing. Really is a bad idea! If you are concerned about claws ask here. There are many alternatives to declawing and it is best for your cat!
GOOD LUCK!!!

Do some homework prior to adopting a Siamese or Siamese mix – no one is lukewarm on them. You either love them or find them obnoxious! Siamese are loyal, smart, athletic, and vocal. They are devoted to their chosen person or persons, often to the extent that they shun anyone else. The are quite vocal – and often LOUD. They also can be very clingy and needy, and expect to spend all of your waking moments with you. They are not usually quiet, calm couch potato kitties, and can get themselves into trouble if bored or ignored. Siamese mixes *tend* to be more laid back than their purebred brethren, but not always.
Siamese can have very sensitive tummies – a good number of them cannot tolerate food with corn in it, so that means you’ll be needing to buy a higher quality food than what’s found in the grocery store. Some of them are very prone to issues with their teeth as well, so be prepared for yearly vet visits and more frequent dental cleanings.
People who are owned by them are devoted to them – but they are unique and different, and not the cat for everyone. That’s why they are the #2 breed of cat surrendered to the shelters – people get them for their stunning looks, but “get rid of them” because they didn’t understand the breed.

Tips;
1) Handbooks on cats help.
2) So does wikihow.com (Search cat you’ll get EVERYTHING and you dont have to pay for a book)
3) Buy a litterbox.
4) Decide whether it will be an indoor or outdoor cat, or mix (stays in at night, RECOMMENDED FOR KITTENS (foxes can kill them! Seen before :(…) And get a catflap or whatever.
5) Don’t buy a cat bed! This mistake has been made by SO many people and they waste their money!
6) Cover all expensive couches – cats shed like crazy (dunno bout siamese tho)
7) See it first! Get to know the kitty!
8) Ask your friend! Chances are SHE’LL HAVE THE BEST TIPS!
9) Cat proof the house! FOr your benefit and your cat’s! (wires put away if possible, breakable glass items in cupboard – cats can get to high places)
10) TOYS! FOOD! Recomended by your friend and you NEW best friend – the kitty!
